Starter Tier

For tech professionals just getting started, Starter is your launchpad to long-term financial clarity.

For Early-in-Career Tech Professionals

Getting started with money can feel overwhelming. Paychecks, taxes, saving, investing — it’s a lot to navigate.

OPTION 1

Built for early-career professionals who are starting to earn more, save more, and ask smarter questions. Our Starter Level is ideal for individuals with growing financial complexity and a strong desire to build a solid foundation. Many Starter clients transition into our Core tier within one to two years as their careers accelerate, their net worth increases, and life events like marriage, homeownership, and/or family planning come into view.

OPTION 2

Starter is built for early-career professionals who are starting to earn more, save more, and ask smarter questions. You’ve got RSUs, a 401(k), and a pile of acronyms—or maybe some equity, some savings, and a growing sense that you need a strategy. This tier is designed for people with emerging financial complexity and a strong desire to build a solid foundation for the future. Many Starter clients transition into our Core tier within a few years, as their careers accelerate, their net worth grows, and life events like marriage, homeownership, or starting a family come into view.

  • Do you find yourself wondering?

Do I truly understand how RSUs & ESPP work, or am I just hoping they turn into something valuable?

What’s my plan for when my shares vest? What do I do if my company’s stock price rises or falls significantly?

If a significant expense were to arise next month, would I know instantly if I could cover it?

Without a tracking system or cash flow plan, am I overspending or under-saving without realizing it?

Do I know where to put my cash after I’ve built an emergency fund?

Am I saving with a clear destination, or just hoping my savings add up someday?

Am I confident in how much house I can afford while keeping my current lifestyle?

  • If so, Starter might be the right fit!

Get a Clear Financial Picture – Start with a Net Worth Snapshot to understand what you have, where it is, and how it’s working for you. Gain clarity on how money flows through your life—income, spending, taxes, and savings.

Build a Confident Cash Flow Plan – Create a system for saving, spending, and investing that fits your lifestyle. Learn how to stay liquid, build the right cash buffers, and avoid lifestyle creep.

Invest Intentionally – Learn how markets work and how to deploy excess cash or equity compensation (like 401(k)s and RSUs) into a diversified long-term plan that aligns with your goals.

Protect What Matters – Review your insurance and emergency reserves to ensure your financial safety net is solid, keeping you secure through life’s surprises.

Plan and Act with Confidence – Receive behavior-based coaching and logical, step-by-step guidance to help you make smart decisions for future milestones like buying a home or starting a family.

Our Starter clients are focused on tackling the first two tiers of our investment waterfall:

Create a cash buffer to cover 3-6 months of expenses, establish a budget, set savings targets, and determine not only how much cash to set aside, but also where and how to save it.
Establish your core portfolio of investments, whether you’re a DIY investor or want to leave management to a professional.

At the Starter level, you don’t need to think about trusts, tax-loss harvesting, angel investing, or legacy planning yet. We’ll start with your financial foundation, and build from there.

  • You start planning to buy a home

  • You get married or begin dual-income planning

  • You receive stock options or experience your first liquidity event

  • You want deeper tax planning, estate complexity, or to invest in real estate or private markets

  • You want more in-depth financial modeling to assess different choices and their impact on retirement.
